Females in Sports Related STEM Careers

Did you know that there are thousands of female scientists who love to be athletic, and make a career out of it? So the next time you step on the soccer field or up on the gymnastics beam, think about the science behind it. How much force will it take to send a seven ounce softball from home plate to first base? What are the appropriate levels of glucose and sodium needed for a triathlon? If you love sports or are interested in the way we function daily, then you may have a future in a STEM career.
